Please forgive my Madonna-esque shot at shock value but, if you ask me the title of this post is only a slight exaggeration. The J.C. in question is, of course, Jeffrey Campbell whom I am currently completely obsessed with. Specifically, I am obsessed with his sick collection of shoes. They are everything one would lust after in the highest price-point, most directional and statement making shoes of the season….only better. And cheaper too.
For all of you about to stop reading right now and Google Jeffrey Campbell, I have to be honest – his shoes aren’t for everyone. If you are looking for a demure kitten heel or to channel Audrey Hepburn in a sweet little ballet flat, run back to Blahnik. If however, you are an ass-kicker and looking for a pair of outfit-making-ass-kicking shoes to make sure any lucky witness to your sassy street strut knows who they’re dealing with (and just in case the rest of your outfit didn’t make that already clear) – Jeffrey Campbell is the man with the shoes for you.
If you love the mile high cheetah wedge bootie from Giuseppe Zanotti for $1195.00, you’ll shit over the Jeffrey Campbell, “Alicia” – just as fab at $150.00. If you’re dying to find the perrrrrfect military ankle boot (and I mean perfect) instead of Brian Atwood’s $1400.00 version from Neiman’s, grab J.C’s stronger statement, “Shaw” take on the military ankle boot for a mere $175.00. And by the way, if you’re worried about the lower price-point vis-a-vis quality, don’t. I have never noticed, ever, any compromise in quality, comfort, detailing or wear-ability.
Therefore, if you are the type of woman looking for the hands down best take-notice shoes, look no further than Jeffrey Campbell.
If this post sounds like a balls-out infomercial for this collection, it is. If you’ve also detected an unspoken plea for free shoes, give yourself a gold star. I promise to wear your collection, Mr. Campbell, all over Atlanta with a sign staple-gunned to my ass, “My shoes are Jeffrey Campbell and no, you can’t have them – go buy your own. ”
p.s. If you want to learn more about this collection from someone who stalks Jeffrey Campbell even more than I do, go to the blog Pink Kitten out of Japan (the source of my that pic above))… this girl has an obsession that may require 12 steps…
p.p.s. Solestruck.com is the beeeesssst site for the biggest collection of J.C. xo
